As future leaders, we continually strive to build stronger ties with our communities and the individuals within them. It is through this understanding that we grow and develop broader worldviews that will shape and support our lives. We celebrate our history through traditions that honor the past while serving the future. Ticktockers experience a wide array of cultural experiences from local museums, theater and dance performances to understanding the cultural diversity within our own community. Activities of our Chapter include:
Mother Daughter Tea & Fashion Show – The Mother Daughter Tea is an NCL, Inc. tradition from the early days, when an afternoon tea was considered a proper social event. Today, NCL, Inc. chapters around the country continue to embrace their long-standing traditions, as well as create new ones with the changing times. The Tea exemplifies the art of conversation, etiquette, graciousness and respect. The North Tustin Chapter of NCL, Inc. holds its annual Tea in conjunction with a fashion show highlighting our Junior Class as models who demonstrate poise and presentation.
Senior Presents – This annual event highlights the experiences and accomplishments of our Senior Class Ticktockers. It celebrates the privilege of friendship, the growth of the mother-daughter relationship, and reflects on the NCL, Inc. experience.
Grade Level Cultural Experiences – Each year individual Grade Level classes plan their own cultural activity. These experiences have included:
- attending local theater productions or art galleries
- classes in visual art, dance, improvisation, and cooking
- sharing food or history from personal family traditions and cultures
